CulinART Invitations

I'm excited to announce that I'm the graphic designer for the upcoming March 11th "CulinART" event, which is produced by the Austin Chapter of the International Special Event Society to benefit The Wright House Wellness Center. This is my fourth year participating and I'll be designing everything from the invitations to the programs to the event stationery. Based on the fantasy theme of “Nature’s Labyrinth” and aspects of our planet’s four natural elements (earth, air, fire and water), I've included an image of the trifold invitation I designed. The event will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, silent, live and fine art auctions, and a four course plated dinner with chef demonstrations as part of the entertainment. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.isesaustin.com/culinart

Melange Bridal Grand Re-Opening!

If you are looking for a wedding dress, check out Melange Bridal. They are having a grand re-opening Friday, Feb 19 & Saturday, Feb 20 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. with chocolates & champagne (new location at 2700 W Anderson Lane in Austin). A portion of the proceeds will go to the American Heart Association. I've had a partnership with Melange since I started my company and love the girls there. In fact, I designed their logo a few years ago (see final one above). For fun, I also posted the drafts that led to the final logo choice above.

Congrats to Melange Bridal on their fabulous new location!

Maddy's First Birthday Invitation

I was lucky enough to work with Holly again designing her daughter's first birthday party invitations! I worked with Holly in 2008 on her wedding invitations (they got married in Mexico so we put the beautiful ornate doors of the venue on the gatefold invitation...http://www.theinvitingpear.com/images/Holly_lg.jpg). Based on Maddy's adorable polka dot birthday outfit, her invitations were born. Sounds like the party is going to be a blast. Happy Birthday, Maddy!

Peek a boo!

I'm so excited to announce that my clients, Dorothee and Kyle, had their baby girl on December 29th.  I created their New York-inspired wedding invitations and reception collateral in 2007 (http://www.theinvitingpear.com/clients/Locations.html).

They called their baby "ladybug" while Dorothee was pregnant. Working off of that inspiration and colors that didn't scream "girl" (i.e., no pink shades), I created a sleeve with a die-cut window that says "peek" and opens up to "a boo" with their baby's picture. The announcement insert was designed front and back to have 4 pictures of the cutie, as well as French wording (to tie in Dorothee's culture). Congratulations to Dorothee and Kyle!
