Ahoy, It's a Boy! invitation
When I found out that this baby shower was for a couple who loved to sail, I was thrilled. There are so many ways to design an invitation with a nautical theme (and I love a good theme!).
I designed the 8" x 10" invitation to look like an antique map, with the background image showcasing where the shower will take place (Florida). I also made sure that the invitation wasn't "cutesie" since the shower is for the couple. The finished product rolls up and is held that way with a belly band made from orange tissue paper and tied with organza ribbon. The invitation is then inserted into a blue mailing tube with a custom designed address label. Voila...a sophisticated message in a bottle!
