Mardi Gras Ball Save the Date
Michael is turning 70 and she wanted to throw a bash to celebrate. With a Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball in mind, we transformed her save the dates into something any guest would be excited to receive.
To incorporate a photo of her from 50 years ago, I made it the centerpiece of the design by printing it on metallic cardstock with a beautiful shimmer. Using a local laser printer in town, I designed a custom masquerade mask with the words "Save the Date" trimmed out. Attaching the mask to red velvet ribbon, the mask fits perfectly over Mike's eyes. A feather in the mask completes the look.
The back of the pink and red layered card includes all of the save the date details. The cream metallic envelopes were hand calligraphy printed and each envelope was lined with a custom "Save the Date" gold metallic liner. If this is any indication of what's to come, I can't wait to design the invitations! This party is going to be incredible...
