My love for logos
There's nothing more fulfilling than being hired to brand a company. Whether it's revising an existing logo or creating a new one, it's such a creative and fun experience for me. As anyone in business knows, your branding is everything and that starts with your logo. Here are some of the logos I've created over the years.
Please email me at info@theinvitingpear.com if you are interested in a logo. I'd love to help you realize your vision!

40th Birthday...Around the World
What do you do when all of your friends are turning 40 in the same year? Have a huge blow out birthday party, of course!
Kaitlin's fellow birthday celebrants all live in different cities from New York City to New Jersey to Houston and Austin. To incorporate this "Around the World" theme, I created a 4-panel invitation, folded to show a photo of New York as the cover stating "We are traveling near and far...". As you open the accordian-folded invitation, the first panel is a photo of New Jersey and then Houston. Finally, the last panel shows that the banner is being held up by a plane, which is about to land in Austin, Texas. This panel incorporates the invitation details, including the venue, Top of the Oasis in Austin. A separate itinerary card was also included for those invited to the cocktail cruise beforehand.
To finish the set, I lined the envelopes in navy and tied pretty raffia around the accordian-folded invitation and itinerary card. This birthday party is going to be a blast!

Peacock inspired wedding
Alex and I never met but she had such vision (and a great wedding planner) that we did all of our correspondence over email. Her colors were eggplant purple and green with a peacock theme. Designing the save the dates, I created a plume design that evokes the feeling of a peacock without being in your face about it. I used typography to make the save the dates even more fun to set the tone of the wedding. The fonts also brought in a Texas vibe. Since Alex and Matt don't live in Texas, the wedding was truly a destination wedding.
The pocketfold invitations incorporated a belly band with the same plume design. Two cards were staggered in the pocket. The hotel block card stated "Come for the day, stay for the weekend" and the response postcard stated "We look forward to celebrating with you".
For the reception, I designed simple square program panels. The escort tent cards were placed in shabby chic window shutters. Guests found their table number on a custom wine label I created. Finally, to add more fun to the wedding photo shoot, I created prop signs for the bride and groom to hold. The signs said "I'm with Her" and "I'm with Him" and the back said "Thank You".
