Arrow Save the Date

One of Stephanie's prized possessions is a tiny arrow necklace. So working off of that idea, I designed their monogram taking their first initials of "S" and combining them to look like a heart with an arrow through it. Since they are getting married at the historic Driskill Hotel, I took a photo and manipulated it into a black and white illustration. I love how it all came out with the gold metallic cardstock monogram tag and envelope!

Featuring: Custom monogram, rounded corners, computer printed calligraphy on envelopes, black and white baker's twine

Start spreading the news!

This is the perfect save the date if most of your guests are coming into Austin for your wedding. Designed to resemble a newspaper, the couple's monogram is located in the top right with a photo of them jumping in front of the Austin mural. The cover and inside list the couple's favorite places in Austin to visit as well as their favorite digs and eats, complete with a custom map to show where each is located. The back details the hotels available as well as their wedding website. Let's start spreading the news!

Features: Custom chevron lined envelope, monogram, map and engagment photos.

Destination: Austin, Texas

Because many of Tori & Nolan’s guests are coming from out of town, we wanted to highlight that the wedding will be held in Austin, Texas. I did this by creating a unique trifold, accordion-folded save the date, complete with a Texas state image laser cut from the cover to show a heart over Austin.

I also created “luggage tags” with their wedding website printed on it. Using purple baker’s twine, the tags hang from one of the panels (guests can easily take this off and put it on their refrigerator). I created a play on words by tying the baker’s twine in a knot and stating “We are tying the knot”.

Finally, on the back we included fun facts about Tori & Nolan’s relationship (such as their first date and where he proposed) as well as information about Texas.

Featuring: Laser cut Texas image (Austin Laser Art), silver metallic envelopes, luggage tag and baker’s twine

Front cover with Texas state laser cut out:

Concert Ticket Save the Date

When I found out that my client, Kendall, had been on American Idol, I was a bit star struck. I mean, I remember watching Kelly Clarkson win the first one. I love that show and anyone who can sing amazes me. I can't sing a tune to save me (but I have to admit, I blare out songs in my car like I'm Whitney Houston...my poor husband).

Right away, we knew that we wanted to do a save the date that was music-oriented. We finally narrowed it down to screenprinting Kendall's save the date details on old vinyl records, which would be inserted into a custom designed record sleeve. Unfortunately, the turn time for this was 3 weeks and we didn't have that kind of time. But that's okay because I've been dying to do a save the date that looks like a concert ticket. What guest wouldn't want to receive such a fun save the date in the mail?!

I designed the ticket with her colors of silver, gold and light pink in mind. Her wedding vibe is vintage so I didn't want the save the date to look like a traditional concert ticket. I wanted the design to look like a ticket but elevate it a bit. I used a light pink damask design as the background and fun vintage fonts throughout to establish this feel.

To make sure the ticket wasn't lost in the silver #10 envelope, we adhered it with ribbon photo corners to gold metallic backing that boldly stated "Don't miss the event of a lifetime".

Hope you enjoy! Can't wait to get started on the invitations.
