Canadian Wedding, Texas Theme
When Amber and I met, she had one thing on her mind: she wanted her wedding to have a Texas ranch feel even though their wedding would take place in Canada. Amber and Trevor are from Canada but they currently live in Austin, Texas. Since most of their family live in Canada, the ceremony had to take place there. Luckily they found a Texas-style ranch (Hitch 'N Post Ranch) to be their wedding ceremony and reception venue. And I couldn't be more excited about the design prospects!
We chose the staggered invitation format to give the invitation a unique but rustic feel with the brad. Inspired by cattle brands, I designed their monogram in that style. Their first initials were used in a seamless way on the circle "brand". For the actual invitation, I used a mixture of typography to give it a western feel. The response card is a perforated postcard that guests can tear off and simply place in the mail. Finally, the last piece of the invitation is a custom-drawn map showing where the "Hitch 'N Post" is located. To finish off the invitation, I chose beautiful purple envelopes with a European flap.
