Elegant Ranch Wedding Invitation

Tori wanted a ranch-inspired invitation set because she's getting married at the beautiful Red Corral Ranch in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, all of the invitations she found were the "cowboy boots" variety. Not exactly what she imagined. I mean, no jeans at this wedding!

Together we designed an upscale invitation set that had that Texas feel but wasn't "in your face" with it. Using a cool scroll design and typography, I created a fun and unique invitation. And for a pop of color, I lined the envelopes with an orchid purple color.

Because most of the guests are from out of town, I created a staggered invitation set that is essentially one piece--easy to grab and perfect for travel. The response postcard was perforated so that the guest could just tear it off and put it in the mail. All affixed with a copper brad, this invitation was all style!

Baby Announcement

When my friend, Paula, hired me to design her baby announcements for her third child (finally a boy!), I was extremely excited. You see, Paula is also a graphic designer. But with three kids, she didn't have time to create something custom. Talk about pressure for me! But it was also a wonderful compliment that she trusted me to design it. As a graphic designer, Paula definitely knew what she wanted so this was 100% a collaboration. Congratulations to Paula and John...what a beautiful family.

Style Me Pretty!

I am pleased to announce that The Inviting Pear was invited to be featured on Style Me Pretty and The Little Black Book! These popular wedding blogs regularly feature some of the best and most innovative wedding styles and trends around. The blog only offers 3-5 positions for each category so I am honored to be a part of the invitation listing in Austin.

A couple of my designs appeared on their blog in the last few months. Check them out! http://www.stylemepretty.com/2010/05/28/austin-elegance-texas-wedding-at-barton-creek-resort/ and http://www.stylemepretty.com/2010/01/13/wedding-colors-inspired-by-a-sunset-from-jennifer-lindberg-photography/

Elegant Damask Wedding

We had so much fun designing Courtney and Jeff's wedding collateral. Based on her wedding colors of black, white and red and love of damask patterns, we created an oversized save the date card, die-cut into an elegant frame shape. The front held the details of the wedding and the back illustrated a black and white damask pattern and the bride's monogram. The 6" x 9" invitation was letterpress printed in white on extremely thick black linen cardstock (think cardboard weight). The response and reception cards were die-cut to match the shape of the save the dates. We also created weekend itineraries for guests, water bottle labels, koozies, die-cut table cards and escort tent cards. And let's not forget the die-cut invitations that were placed on guests' placesetting at the wedding reception that invited them to a VIP after-party!! This wedding was definitely what we call "ooh la la"!
